Overall, a good experience with friendly staff. I felt listened to, and my immigration issue was addressed quickly. However, a bit more clarity on follow-up procedures wouldn’t hurt.
Frequently asked questions
help_outline I need help finding housing in Manchester
Finding housing in Manchester is challenging and depends on various factors. If you were placed in another city, we recommend staying there as Manchester City Council will not assist with housing until you've lived in the city for two years. If you are struggling to get council housing, we can provide a list of private landlords.
help_outline Do you offer counselling?
We do not provide counselling or mental health support. For mental health assistance, please contact Manchester Mind or other service providers listed.
help_outline What projects do you offer for loneliness or community activities?
We specialize in welfare and immigration advice. Some projects include the Shared Routes Project, adult football sessions, and activities for elderly residents in North Manchester.
help_outline How can I find local support?
You can utilize a virtual map available on our website to locate local support for refugees and asylum seekers.
help_outline Do you accept clothes/items donations?
Unfortunately, we do not accept second-hand clothing or items. However, donations can be made to other organizations like Refugee Aid Chorlton or Coats4Kids.
help_outline Enquiries regarding journalism or university research
Due to our size, we cannot accommodate interviews for journalism or academic purposes and will decline requests.
